Charleroi (CRL)
Poppy: follow the 'EXPRESS' parking signs; the gate recognises the car. €30 to start or end a trip.
Antwerp (ANR)
Poppy has an airport zone here; €5 to start or end a trip.
Between cities and countries
Poppy: zones in Brussels and Antwerp plus the three airports; ending in a satellite zone adds an intercity fee (not when the trip starts or ends at an airport).
Cambio: stations in Brussels, Flanders and Wallonia, round trips only.
Getaround: private cars in Brussels, Antwerp, Ghent, Liège, Namur, Charleroi and Bruges, wherever an owner lists one.
Parking and fuel
Poppy: any legal street spot inside a Poppy zone is free; outside the zone you pay.
The whole Brussels region is a low-emission zone. Cars with foreign plates (except Dutch ones) must be registered first, free, valid five years. A Belgian sharing car skips that step.
Antwerp and Ghent have their own low-emission zones; foreign cars must register there too.
Before you go
Register in the app before you fly: your licence and a bank card.
Poppy wants a licence held 2 years if you're under 25, 1 year if you're 25–30.
Getaround takes non-EU licences for stays under 185 days: the original licence plus the passport page with your entry date, and an IDP or translation if it isn't in Latin script.
Degage!, Wibee and Cozywheels are neighbour car-sharing schemes; Wibee asks for proof of residence.
