Airports
Sofia (SOF) Terminal 1
4 SPARK spots in the open car park; the barrier opens by itself. Don't take a ticket. If they're full, use the zones at the Ibis Sofia Airport hotel or Lufthansa Technik.
Sofia (SOF) Terminal 2
6 spots to the left of arrivals/departures by the taxi rank, and 11 more opposite the terminal. Entry is free. Don't take a ticket.
Between cities and countries
Sofia ↔ Plovdiv: end in the other city for a €25 intercity fee, in either direction.
Radinovo industrial zone ↔ Plovdiv: no fee.
Bulgaria only. Taking the car abroad is forbidden.
Parking and fuel
Free in the Blue and Green zones of Sofia and Plovdiv, at SPARK partner car parks (malls, IKEA, some hotels) and SPARK areas on the map.
Purple zones (Bankya, for one) cost extra to end a trip in on the Standard plan.
Never end a trip in private or commercial car parks that aren't SPARK partners. The app won't let you end outside a SPARK zone.
Before you go
Only licences from the EU countries SPARK lists and Switzerland, held for 1 year. UK, US and other licences are not accepted.
Register in the app with your licence and a selfie; the €10 fee comes back as a trip voucher valid 60 days.
Add a credit or debit card with enough balance. There's no deposit.
