Airports
Helsinki (HEL)
24Rent cars stand in the parking hall next to the arrivals terminal, about 100 m (a 2-minute walk). Passenger cars only, no vans.
Turku, Tampere-Pirkkala, Oulu, Kemi-Tornio
24Rent has cars at these airports too; the exact spot comes with your booking instructions.
Between cities and countries
24Rent: cars go back to their pick-up point unless you book One Way, which includes the city-to-city distance plus 100 km.
24Rent abroad: only with an export permit for each country, booked 2 working days ahead. Without one: €500 plus €60 a day.
Abroad, 24Rent's traffic-insurance excess is four times higher and its roadside assistance does not work.
Finland has no road tolls or congestion charges.
Parking and fuel
Many 24Rent cars carry city permits to park free in paid centre zones. Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa, Tampere, Turku, Oulu and Lahti; each permit works only in its own city.
Parking fines are passed on to you, plus a €50 processing fee.
Fuel is not included: return the car full, or pay €50 plus fuel.
Electric cars: plug in at the instructed charger when you return (€150 if you don't).
Before you go
24Rent: without a Finnish ID number you verify with a photo of your licence and a selfie. Checked for every booking.
EU/EEA licences are accepted; others must be Geneva or Vienna Convention licences. 24Rent advises an IDP if your licence is in another language.
First booking: book well ahead. It must start between 8:00 and 21:00, because your licence and photo are checked first.
Bring a credit or debit card in your name (no prepaid). 24Rent may ask for a deposit, returned within 14 working days.

Strict fees: €100 plus €50 an hour for a late return, €30–50 to process fines.
Leaving Finland needs a permit; Russia, Belarus, Poland and Eastern/Southern Europe are off-limits.
Photograph the car at pick-up and return. If you can't show the photos when asked, it's €1,200 for a car.
