Which one when

A day in BudapestGreenGo or wigo: GreenGo's electric cars park free on Budapest's public street spaces, wigo parks free in its zone.

From or to the airportwigo or GreenGo, both wait in Holiday Parking. Ending a trip there costs about twice as much as starting one.

Motorways beyond Pest countyA wigo petrol car: it carries the national vignette. GreenGo and wigo's electric cars only have the Pest county one.

Over to Austria or Slovakiawigo's Kia Ceed or MINI Cabrio, with 30,000 credits in your account and your own foreign vignette.

Airports

Budapest (BUD)

wigo and GreenGo use dedicated bays in Holiday Parking, a 4–5-minute walk from the terminal. Follow the 'Holiday Parking – Carsharing' signs.

Fees

Starting a rental there: wigo 1,690 Ft, GreenGo 1,680 Ft. Ending one there: wigo 3,290 Ft, GreenGo 3,190 Ft (Green plans).

The barrier

It should open by number-plate recognition. If it doesn't, use the card in the glovebox and put it back afterwards.

Between cities and countries

wigo: rentals end in its zone. Nearly 100 km² of Budapest and its surroundings; ending in an outer zone costs 490–1,590 Ft.
GreenGo: rentals end inside its Budapest zones and last at most 72 hours.
There is no car sharing in other Hungarian cities, so a trip out has to come back to Budapest.

Parking and fuel

GreenGo: as electric cars they pay no parking fee on Budapest's public street spaces, paid zones included.
wigo: free on public parking spots inside its zone, under the normal parking rules.
At the airport, end the trip only in the operator's bays in Holiday Parking.

Before you go

MOL Limo, the third Budapest service, asks for a Hungarian address card. Residents only.
Licence: EU and EEA licences work as they are; others need an International Driving Permit (wigo and GreenGo terms).
wigo: 18+ with a licence held one year. Non-EU residents buy at least 50,000 Ft of credit when signing up.
Motorways need an e-matrica (nemzetiutdij.hu). wigo petrol cars have the national one; electric cars only Pest county.

GreenGo hasn't published whether its cars may leave Hungary.
