Tromsø or StavangerGetaround: the one service there open to visitors (Hyre in Stavanger needs BankID).
Arriving at Oslo AirportGetaround lists owners' cars around Gardermoen. Check where each one stands before you book.
On to SwedenGetaround: Sweden is on its list of allowed countries.
Several weeks in Bergen or TrondheimDele: the NOK 600 half-year membership only pays off on a long stay.
Between cities and countries
Getaround: return the car where you picked it up. There is no one-way.
Getaround: abroad only in the 22 listed European countries; elsewhere you pay all towing and repairs.
Dele: cars go back to their own spot; you may drive them anywhere in Europe.
All toll stations in Norway are automatic, and AutoPASS also collects ferry fares. Nothing to pay on the spot.
Before you go
Getaround: an EU or Schengen licence is enough. Any other licence: bring your passport, plus an IDP or official translation if it isn't in Latin letters.
Verify in the Getaround app before you go: licence front and back, ID or passport, video selfie. Usually under 5 minutes, manual checks up to 2 hours (08:00–23:00).
Without BankID, Getaround reserves a deposit on your card; credit-card rental insurance does not cover peer-to-peer rentals.
Hyre, Bilkollektivet and Hertz Bildeling sign you up with Norwegian BankID and a credit check, not for visitors.
