Can tourists use car sharing in Europe? Licence rules by service
Short answer: usually yes. Of the 76 services open to visitors in our list, 67 take licences from outside the EU in some form; 9 take EU/EEA licences only. 26 more are for residents only. Sign-up happens in the app with a photo of your licence and ID, usually in minutes.
The rules below come from each operator's own terms (link per service). They change, and the app has the final word, so check before you fly. In the calculator, choose "Other country" under More options to see which services your licence rules out.
